Rest In Peace Dr. Kenneth David Kaunda 1924 – 2021

The Board, Management and Staff of the Higher Education Authority (HEA) wishes to express our deepest sorrow and convey our heartfelt condolences to the Kaunda Family and the grieving nation of Zambia over the passing of the Founding Father and the First President of the Republic of Zambia, Dr. Kenneth David Kaunda.

We are eternally grateful for the foundation you laid for higher education in Zambia through the establishment of the first university in 1966, the University of Zambia (UNZA), and later on the second university in 1987, the Copperbelt University (CBU). The foundation that you laid has since brought about a vibrant higher education sector whose quality HEA is now ensuring.

Your Excellency, Rest in Peace.
