Governance

The Authority is answerable to the Ministry of Education (MoE) and the Board of the Authority which provides policy direction to the Authority. The day to day operations of the Authority are Managed by the Director General and Higher Education Authority (HEA) management team.

The Governance systems in the Higher Education Authority (HEA).

1. Board of Authority

The Minister will appoint members to the Board of Authority.

2. Director General

The Board shall, with the approval of the Minister, appoint a Director General.

3. Administration of the Authority

The Director General shall be the chief executive officer of the Authority and shall be responsible, under the direction of the Board, for the day-to-day administration of the Authority. .
