Registration & Accreditation with the Authority
A person who intends to operate a private higher education institution shall apply to the Authority for registration of the higher education institution and accreditation of the learning programmes to be offered.

Application Fees
- K500 – Zambian Owned HEI
- K1,000 – Foreigned Owned HEI
Application Processing Fees
- K10,000 – Zambian Owned HEI
- K15,000 – Foriegn Owned HEI
Accreditation Processing Fees
- K5,000 – All HEI
Evaluation Process.
The Authority shall, where an application meets the requirements, within ninety (90) days of receipt of an application approve the application and notify the applicant. Further, where it rejects an application notify the applicant, stating the reasons for the rejection.
