IN PICTURES: HEA Celebrates International Women’s Day 2025

Over the weekend, the Higher Education Authority (HEA) joined the global community in commemorating International Women’s Day under the theme, “For All Women and Girls: Rights. Equality. Empowerment.” 

To reinforce its commitment to gender equality, HEA adopted a localised theme: “HEA Supports Women.” This message was powerfully articulated by the Director-General, Professor Kazhila C. Chinsembu, in his Women’s Day address.

HEA management and staff further amplified this theme by sharing their reflections on the day and participating in the commemoration marchpast, which began at Goma Lakes at the University of Zambia (UNZA) and concluded at the Main Arena at the Showgrounds.

The Authority took part in the Lusaka celebrations on Saturday, 8^th March 2025, held at the Agriculture and Commercial Showgrounds. The event was graced by the Guest of Honour, Her Honour, Mrs. W.K. Mutale Nalumango, MP, Vice President of the Republic of Zambia.
