HEA Appoints Mr. Denny Nsokolo as New Manager – Standards, Research and Institutional Audits
The Higher Education Authority (HEA) is pleased to announce the promotion of Mr. Denny Nsokolo to the position of Manager – Standards, Research and Institutional Audits.
Mr. Nsokolo, who joined the Authority on 1st October, 2018, has been serving as Senior Standards and Research Officer, and from 30th October, 2023, performed the duties of Acting Manager – Standards, Research and Institutional Audits for administrative convenience. His promotion follows a competitive, publicly advertised recruitment and interview process.
In this new role, in which he will be reporting to the Director – Quality Assurance, Mr. Nsokolo will provide leadership in the development and implementation of standards, registration and auditing processes to ensure that Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) meet the quality requirements prescribed under the Higher Education Act, 2013, as read with the Higher Education (Amendment) Act, 2021. His extensive technical expertise and deep institutional knowledge were key factors in his successful selection.
Mr. Nsokolo holds a Master of Arts in Economics and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, both from the University of Zambia (UNZA). He is currently pursuing a PhD in Economics at the University of Johannesburg, South Africa.
The Authority congratulates Mr. Nsokolo on this well-deserved appointment. His promotion reflects HEA’s strong confidence in his leadership, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to service, qualities that will continue to strengthen the Authority’s mandate of “Ensuring Quality in Higher Education.”
