Speaking to both Management and Staff, the Director-General, Professor Kazhila C. Chinsembu, highlighted the importance of professionalism, mutual respect and collective responsibility in delivering on HEA’s mandate.

He explained that the session provided an opportunity for staff to reconnect, reflect and renew their commitment to working together as one team.

He reminded staff that every role within the Authority contributes to its overall success and stressed the need for respect for leadership, loyalty to duty and observance of established institutional structures.

The Director-General also spoke on the importance of protocol and courtesy in the workplace, noting that how staff conduct themselves especially during official engagements reflects on the Authority as a whole.

He encouraged the Human Resources Section to explore opportunities for staff training in professional etiquette and protocol.

He concluded by emphasising that respect, loyalty and professionalism are key to building a positive workplace culture and ensuring HEA remains effective in regulating and supporting higher education in Zambia.

The session ended with staff engaging in facilitated activities designed to strengthen collaboration and promote a positive team spirit.
