The workshop will be held under the theme, “Strengthening Higher Education Curriculum Quality through Quality Assurance in the Era of Digital Transformation and Artificial Intelligence.”

In an invitation to HEIs, HEA Director-General, Professor Kazhila C. Chinsembu, stated that the Winter School is designed to strengthen institutional capacity in curriculum design, accreditation readiness, internal quality assurance systems, digital transformation and the responsible integration of artificial intelligence.

The workshop will also focus on promoting academic integrity in the digital era, aligning HEIs with national, regional and international quality frameworks, and introducing best practices in data-driven quality assurance and digital QA systems.

Each institution is invited to nominate two participants, one of whom should be the officer responsible for quality assurance. Institutions are also free to send more than two participants.

The participation fee is K4,000.00 per participant, covering a certificate of participation, lunch, and two tea breaks per day. Travel and accommodation costs will be met by the participating institutions.

The Winter School comes at a critical time when higher education is being reshaped by digital systems, artificial intelligence, and increasing demands for relevant, responsive and future-facing curricula.
