The accreditation window periods are aimed at ensuring that all unaccredited learning programmes are identified and brought up to standard as expediently as possible.

Furthermore, the accreditation window periods will allow HEA to efficiently manage the accreditation process and ensure that learning programmes submitted within the specified timeframes are processed according to priority. This will enhance efficiency and eliminate the delays and anxiety related to the accreditation process.

Therefore, all HEIs are hereby urged to take note of the specific accreditation window periods for the various categories of institutions:

1. All colleges are directed to submit all their unaccredited learning programmes between 1^st and 30^th June, 2024.
2. All universities and university colleges are directed to submit all their unaccredited learning programmes between 1^st July and 31^st August, 2024.
3. All Institutions for Specialised Training of Professionals in a Specified Field (ISTPs) are directed to submit all their unaccredited learning programmes between 1^st and 30^th September, 2024.

Thus, HEA will not accept any submission for application of accreditation of a learning programme once the submission window period has closed until such a time when a new window shall be announced.
